I’d like to talk about the idea of keeping kids from using social media and the risks that could come with that. So, I will look at both sides and then I’ll also share my own thoughts.
First of all, one reason why teens should not be allowed to use social media is that it could protect them from harmful materials. Supporters say that social media platforms can put young people at risk of cyber-bullying, internet related crimes, and mental health issues. So, By limiting their access, we can make the world safer for teens and keep them from getting into trouble.
Well…. Aaaa
Some also say that limiting teens’ use of social media can get them to do more things outside of their phones. Like, By taking their attention away from phones, you know, they might have more chances to talk to people face-to-face, get exercise, and do their hobbies.
However, those who support kids social media use say that it’s important for them to know how to use technology and be ready for the modern world. Social media has become a big part of our lives, and many people say that teens should learn how to use it in a responsible way. If we totally cut them off, they might miss out on learning opportunities that could help them develop skills like critical thinking and digital citizenship.
Also…..AAA
social media can give teens a place to express themselves, learn more about their hobbies, and meet people with similar interests. Like, it can make you more creative, boost yourself, and even lead to future possibilities, such as you know, making connections for a job or showing off your artistic skills.
So, after thinking about both sides, I think a more balanced method would be best. Like, even though it’s important to keep teens safe from online risks, cutting them off from social media might not be the best way to do that. Instead,
I think it’s important to educate people, talk to them, and set clear limits. In the end, I would say that not letting teens use social media at all could be seen as an extreme step that could have negative effects. So, even though worries about online risks are real, it’s important to remember that social media platforms can help you learn, express yourself, and connect with others.
